CHALLENGE:

Trust Payments was looking for a proven Core Banking and Payment Gateway that would provide them with a great platform to improve operational efficiency and reduce time and cost. Trust Payments was looking to run its banking application system in a secured and scalable Cloud, operated at high SLA standards.

To achieve its goal, the fintech required the following challenges to be overcome:

  • Improve operation efficiency via work automation.
  • Facilitate segregation of data and information utilizing a platform that supports different permission levels, has built-in mechanisms to control abuse and facilitates reporting.
  • Integrate new payment channels and correspondent banks faster.
  • Integrate with other SaaS solutions in AWS.
  • Reduce fees paid to correspondents and third parties.
  • Adapt to the constant industry changes with a payments solution that will remain compliant with the ever-changing European Payments landscape including SEPA Rulebook changes, SWIFT FIN / ISO20022 Releases, CHAPS and FPS requirements.

  • Satisfy all regulatory and IT security aspects governing the Trust Payments operations.
  • Improve automation and efficiency by integration with other applications in use by Trust Payments.
  •        Provide intelligent routing and direct communication based on Correspondent Bank (BIC, IBAN, Sort Code).
  •       Ensure scalability that will enable the institution to offer payment account services to its clients in the future.

To overcome these challenges, Facilization provided the following:

  • Implementation of the latest versions of Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking (FCUBS) and Oracle Banking Payment (OBPM), thus decoupling the deployment.
  • Implementation of SEPA Credit Transfer payments, Cross Border Payments, High-Value Payments (CHAPS) and Faster Payments (FPS).
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(including Database, WebLogic, Compute, Storage, Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall); Primary CBS and Disaster Recovery in OCI.
  • Integrationwith Other Apps on AWS.

Business Outcomes:

  • A quick transition from manual application to an automatic payment gateway in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure;
  • Scalability of the system and alignment between business volumes and diversity growth with OCI consumption;
  • Compliance with local and EU regulations.
